About Us

E line Services
Bonnett’s Foothills Wireline Services remains, as it has since 1972, at the forefront of cutting edge technology, expertise and service in downhole E line services which include both wellbore information gathering and casing perforation.

Our wireline trucks are state-of-the-art capable of spooling out 25,000 feet of braided cable ranging from 0.224 to 0.380 inches in thickness into an oil or gas wellbore and used in either high temperature standard or sour wells. Our lines can of be fitted with an array of electrically powered sonde tools providing a wealth of information about formations, cement quality, casing diameters and thickness, quantities and types of producing fluid and other down hole data.

Similarly, by attaching perforating guns to an E line they can be run down an oil or gas wellbore in order to perforate the casing in order to assist in bringing the oil and gas from the formations.

From our origins as a one truck operation in British Columbia’s Fort St. John oil fields over 35 years ago, today Bonnett’s operates E line services throughout most of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. These areas include bases of operations in Grande Prairie, Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Manning, Hinton, Fox Creek and Slave Lake with our head office in Calgary. In 2003 we established a base in Fort Nelson B.C. in order to keep up with the expansion in the exploration for oil and gas in that region.

Slickline Services
Bonnett’s Foothills Wireline Services slickline services use state-of-the-art capable of spooling out 25,000 feet of metal wire ranging from 0.92 to 0.188 inches in thickness into a range of differently configured oil or gas wellbores. We specialize in:

  • removing unwanted obstructions
  • obtaining bottom hole pressures ranging from 5,171 – 110,316 kPa
  • measuring temperatures as high as 177 °C/350 °F
  • increasing well production and control flow
  • plugs
